TECH SCOUTING:
Seeking assistance to test a prototype and model the performance of a patented fracking system. Using downhole pulse technology to increase fracture complexity, this approach will lessen environmental impacts of drilling, improve reservoir recovery rates for new and old wells, and enhance drilling results in unconventional shale reservoirs and geothermal wells. Ultimately, the company wants to develop a Digital Twin to demonstrate feasibility, optimize performance, and define safe operating envelopes.
Goal:
Laboratory testing and digital modeling for a novel fracking system.
Requirements:
- High-Pressure Pulses, Erosion, and Sealing
- Fracture Propagation & Subsurface Science
- Materials, Fatigue, and Supercomputing Resources
- Harsh Environment & System Durability
Technical Considerations:
- Facility, lab access and instrumentation with an organization which can offer funding access or sponsor benchtop testing.
- Access to modeling and simulation software, and subject-matter expertise to develop a digital twin from testing data.
