Evaluation of Technical Quality
Objective: obtain a set of remotely operated vehicles (ROV) and supporting materials to conduct evaluations and experiments of a technology solution for Navy ship maintenance.
These ROVs include unmanned undersea / surface / ground components, and identify the state of ship fitness, project the time until maintenance is necessary, and communicate this information between the human/machine team during and after inspection.
- Exterior ship maintenance system efficacy will be explored with the subsea ROV using surface relay nodes.
- Interior maintenance task efficacy will be performed with procured ground robots.
Components of the task include prototype ROVs to be evaluated, equipment to support the evaluation (platforms and sensors), and vendor support to establish a testable system, such as mating equipment to our existing test infrastructure and establishing evaluation criteria (i.e.,sensors and data acquisition support materials).
Deliverables
Identify potential solutions and associated vendors that can address this need. Coordinate calls to review costs, timetable and logistics.
