Learn about available Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Newport technology commercialization and patent licensing opportunities, along with URI R&D capabilities at this showcase cooperatively presented by NUWC Newport, URI, 401 Tech Bridge, and Rhode Island Commerce.

Attendees had the opportunity to hear from and network with the RI congressional delegation and state officials.

Promoting the utilization and commercialization of inventions, the showcase included technology presentations from the NUWC Newport inventors with an opportunity for companies to ask questions and engage one-on-one with the engineers.

On the URI core lab tour, companies were able to see the research and testing capabilities of the university and learn about the partnership opportunities available. Companies were available to share how they have collaborated with URI faculty and students and utilized the equipment for testing the development and advancement of products and technologies.

This strategic collaboration on current and emerging technologies, empowered businesses, entrepreneurs, and academia to identify new partnerships for innovation and commercialization, and further economic development opportunities.
