WEBINAR: Navy Prize Challenge – Rapid Design Tool for Advanced Manufacturing

Valve hand wheels, used to open and close valves, are found throughout Naval ships. With such a wide range of materials and locations, an onboard database of stock is essential, especially when managing repairs.

Watch the 401 Tech Bridge kick off webinar to learn about the $30,000 prize challenge seeking software tools to automatically produce CAD files for the needed hand wheel, allowing for on-demand onboard production of needed replacement parts.

The prize challenge is open for registrations and hosted on the InnoCentive platform and Challenge.gov. The 401 Tech Bridge held the Navy Prize Challenge kick off on May 14 and it featured an:

  • Overview of the problem, and the challenge, from Navy technical points of contact
  • Introduction to InnoCentive, the prize challenge platform
  • Opportunity for Q/A with the technical points of contact

 

The closing date for this prize challenge has been extended until July 27.

This prize challenge is managed by the ​​​​401 Tech Bridge, in collaboration with the NavalX Northeast Tech Bridge.
