07 Dec IN THE NEWS: Portsmouth ‘innovation campus’ moving closer to reality
The Rhode Island Commerce Corporation on Tuesday will consider $1.5 million in incentives to support plans for a new collaborative to help economic recovery and job growth next year.
Called 401 Tech Bridge, the project has attracted manufacturers, entrepreneurs, academics and researchers who hope to build on the state’s strengths in textiles, advanced materials, marine products and undersea devices developed by the Navy.
Their goal is an “innovation campus” in Portsmouth where partners will connect and turn new technologies into products, businesses and jobs.
